Privacy Policy

Capataz is an app that helps contractors schedule their crew, send estimates and invoices, and keep track of the money on each job. This policy explains what information Capataz handles and why. Capataz is operated by Francisco J. Lujan ("we").

What we collect

• Your account: your name, email address and, if you add it, your phone number.
• Your business's records: what you and your team enter, such as clients and their contact details and addresses, jobs, visits, notes, estimates, invoices, payments, expenses, hours worked and pay rates.
• Photos you attach: photos of the work, and receipts and checks, that you or your crew take or choose.
• Card and bank statements you import: the file you choose, and the date, description and amount of each line. We keep only the last 4 digits of a card or account, if you enter them. We never ask for full card numbers or bank logins, and Capataz doesn't connect to your bank.
• Location when clocking in and out: when a crew member taps "I'm here" or "I'm done" on a visit, the app records where they were at that moment, if they allowed location access. Capataz does not track location at any other time.

How we use it

Only to run the app for your business: showing your team its schedule, calculating job totals, producing documents and exports, and keeping your account secure. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps or websites.

Who can see it

• People in your company see what their role allows. Crew see only their own visits and their photos, and never prices or other people's pay.
• Only the owner can import statements. A charge the owner marks as personal is visible only to the owner.
• We use Google Firebase (Google LLC) to store data, run the app and send notifications, in data centers in the United States. Apple delivers notifications to iPhones and iPads.
• Reading receipts with AI: when someone scans a receipt, after they agree, the photo is sent to Claude, an AI service from Anthropic, PBC, to read the store, date, items and totals. A receipt can show what was bought and the last digits of a card. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, it isn't used to train their AI models. Nothing is recorded until a person checks it. If you'd rather not use this, enter receipts by hand.
• We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Payments

Capataz does not process payments. Your clients pay you directly; you record the payment in the app. Payment links you add (for example from Stripe, Square or PayPal) open those services, which have their own privacy policies.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings or Profile → Delete account). Deleting an owner's account deletes the whole company and its records, including photos. When a crew or office member deletes their account, their login and profile are deleted; the hours, entries and photos they recorded stay in their company's records, because they belong to that business.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and stored with Google's security controls. Access is limited by role through server-side rules.

Children

Capataz is for businesses and is not meant for children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.

Capataz es una app que ayuda a contratistas a organizar a su cuadrilla, enviar cotizaciones y facturas, y llevar el control del dinero de cada trabajo. Esta política explica qué información maneja Capataz y por qué. Capataz es operada por Francisco J. Lujan ("nosotros").

Qué información recopilamos

• Tu cuenta: tu nombre, correo y, si lo agregas, tu teléfono.
• Los registros de tu negocio: lo que tú y tu equipo ingresan, como clientes y sus datos de contacto y direcciones, trabajos, visitas, notas, cotizaciones, facturas, pagos, gastos, horas trabajadas y tarifas de pago.
• Fotos que adjuntas: fotos del trabajo, y de recibos y cheques, que tú o tu cuadrilla toman o eligen.
• Estados de cuenta que importas: el archivo que eliges, y la fecha, descripción y monto de cada línea. Solo guardamos los últimos 4 dígitos de una tarjeta o cuenta, si los ingresas. Nunca pedimos números completos de tarjeta ni accesos a tu banco, y Capataz no se conecta a tu banco.
• Ubicación al marcar llegada y salida: cuando alguien de la cuadrilla toca "Llegué" o "Terminé" en una visita, la app registra dónde estaba en ese momento, si permitió el acceso a la ubicación. Capataz no rastrea la ubicación en ningún otro momento.

Cómo la usamos

Solo para que la app funcione para tu negocio: mostrarle a tu equipo su agenda, calcular los totales de cada trabajo, generar documentos y exportaciones, y mantener tu cuenta segura. No vendemos tu información, no la usamos para publicidad y no te rastreamos en otras apps o sitios web.

Quién puede verla

• Las personas de tu empresa ven lo que su rol les permite. La cuadrilla solo ve sus propias visitas y sus fotos, y nunca ve precios ni el pago de otros.
• Solo el dueño puede importar estados de cuenta. Un cargo que el dueño marca como personal solo lo ve el dueño.
• Usamos Google Firebase (Google LLC) para guardar los datos, operar la app y enviar notificaciones, en centros de datos en Estados Unidos. Apple entrega las notificaciones a los iPhone y iPad.
• Lectura de recibos con IA: cuando alguien escanea un recibo, después de aceptar, la foto se envía a Claude, un servicio de IA de Anthropic, PBC, para leer la tienda, la fecha, los artículos y los totales. Un recibo puede mostrar lo que se compró y los últimos dígitos de una tarjeta. Según los términos comerciales de Anthropic, no se usa para entrenar sus modelos de IA. Nada se registra hasta que una persona lo revisa. Si prefieres no usarlo, ingresa los recibos a mano.
• Podemos revelar información si la ley lo exige.

Pagos

Capataz no procesa pagos. Tus clientes te pagan directamente y tú registras el pago en la app. Los enlaces de pago que agregues (por ejemplo de Stripe, Square o PayPal) abren esos servicios, que tienen sus propias políticas de privacidad.

Conservación y eliminación

Guardamos tu información mientras exista tu cuenta. Puedes eliminar tu cuenta en cualquier momento desde la app (Ajustes o Perfil → Eliminar cuenta). Si el dueño elimina su cuenta, se elimina toda la empresa y sus registros, incluidas las fotos. Si alguien de la cuadrilla o de la oficina elimina su cuenta, se eliminan su acceso y su perfil; las horas, movimientos y fotos que registró quedan en los registros de su empresa, porque pertenecen a ese negocio.

Seguridad

Los datos viajan cifrados y se guardan con los controles de seguridad de Google. El acceso está limitado por rol mediante reglas en el servidor.

Menores

Capataz es para negocios y no está pensada para menores de 13 años.

Cambios

Si cambiamos esta política, actualizaremos la fecha de arriba y, si el cambio es importante, te avisaremos en la app.
